About This Fundraiser
친구 가족 여러분,
몇일 후면 저는 제가 참여하는 참나무장학금과 성매매근절을 위해 서울에서 열리는 마라톤대회에 참가합니다. 이 레이스의 목적은 보육원에서 자라 대학에 진학하고자 하는 학생들에게 생활비장학금을 후원하기 위한 후원금 마련 행사입니다.
많은 사람들이 생각하기에 보육원아이들과 성매매에 대한 연관성을 찾기가 어려운 수 있습니다. 그러나 실제로 성매매에 희생양이 되는 80%가 넘는 아이들이 부모가 없는 아이들인 경우가 많습니다. 우리는 처음 사회에 발을 내딛는 학생들에게 생활비장학금과 멘토프로그램을 제공함으로써 성매매의 유혹으로부터 그들을 보호하고 희망을 주기를 소망합니다. 저와 함께 사회의 어둠을 밝이는 일에 참여해주십시오!

RUN AGAINST TRAFFICK (R.A.T.) RACE 2014
On Saturday, November 15, 2014, we are running the Run Against Traffick (R.A.T.) Race to raise funds for the Oak Tree Project, a scholarship and mentorship program for orphans in South Korea. Our goal is to raise $80,000 for 13 orphan college students. Please support us in keeping our students in school and out of working in night clubs, bars, and lounges. To run, you can sign up for the 5K, 10K, Half-marathon, or Full marathon. The registration fee is ₩33,000 and the deadline for sign-ups is November 3, 2014.
