Oh My Knees!

The Oak Tree Project is a scholarship fund that provides financial aid and mentoring for orphans to attend college. Many times orphans do not have enough money to education and cost of living to attend and finish college in Korea. But, because they are orphans they get treated differently by society and have difficulty finding part-time jobs. Because of this, many times, the only jobs they can find are in bars, clubs, or other establishments that other people may not want. Also, many times these businesses are related to human and sex trafficking.

On Nov. 15, over 200 people will be running to create awareness and raise support for the Oak Tree Project. I will be running a 10K.

What I need? For those of you who do not know, I walked away from the world of business last year, and am now in my first year of seminary. In the midst of all the midterms and papers, I have not had a chance to run for over a month. So, I really need your encouragement and your prayers to make it through alive in one piece.

What the students need? Scholarship money. If you happen so see this, I ask you to please consider what you have received from your family, and consider those who do not have the chance to receive the same, and then consider to give even a little bit.

RUN AGAINST TRAFFICK (R.A.T.) RACE 2014

On Saturday, November 15, 2014, we are running the Run Against Traffick (R.A.T.) Race to raise funds for the Oak Tree Project, a scholarship and mentorship program for orphans in South Korea. Our goal is to raise $80,000 for 13 orphan college students. Please support us in keeping our students in school and out of working in night clubs, bars, and lounges.
