About This Fundraiser

Run Against Traffick (R.A.T. Race) is a marathon that's being held in Seoul on November 15 to raise funds for Oak Tree Project - a scholarship fund to support orphans in Korea. These are some of the most common victims of human trafficking. I haven't run a full marathon for 9 years and it has been a big stretch to get my body ready for one this time around on short notice. Even a few days ago I wasn't totally sure that I'd be able to do this as I've been dealing with leg pain and a bit of sickness (which is why this is being set up so late). But I feel stirred up to be involved and wanted to do something that supports this cause that costs me something.

Oak Tree Project is doing a work that "God our Father finds pure and faultless" - to look after orphans in their distress (James 1:27). The fruit of this ministry is good fruit and the vision is one that excites me - to see those who have been neglected and marginalized in Korean society be supported and believed in - that they would grow up tall and strong like the oaks of righteousness that are described in Isaiah 61:3.

Please consider supporting this ministry through me as I run in this marathon.
