Many of you may have noticed the recent activity on my Facebook of me running. I'd love to say that it's to workout or even for recreational purposes but I can't. I love being active and enjoy all aspects of competition, but I've never enjoyed running. However, I've decided to take part in the R.A.T. Race to raise awareness and raise funds for a cause I truly believe in. So in case you were wondering, the recent running I've been doing has been to train for this event.

As a participant, we are encouraged to raise a minimum of 300,000 KRW and I know that through my friends and family I can well exceed this goal. I will be running the 10k course and will feel encouraged, empowered, and blessed to know that I will be running on behalf of my supporters who've helped me do my part on raising funds for this incredible cause! As a byproduct of this event, I'm even praying that I'll start to really enjoy running and perhaps take a shot at a half marathon or even a full marathon in the future! Please keep me accountable to this personal goal and be generous! 100% of your donation will go to a college scholarship fund for orphans who desperately need resources to receive their college degree!

The race is scheduled for Saturday November 15th and I would love to be able to reach my minimum goal before that date. Please keep myself and the other runners, the event organizers, and the orphans we are running for, in prayer and be proactive in donating to support the Oak Tree Project. RUN AGAINST TRAFFICK (R.A.T.) RACE 2014

On Saturday, November 15, 2014, we are running the Run Against Traffick (R.A.T.) Race to raise funds for the Oak Tree Project, a scholarship and mentorship program for orphans in South Korea. Our goal is to raise $80,000 for 13 orphan college students. Please support us in keeping our students in school and out of working in night clubs, bars, and lounges. To run, you can sign up for the 5K, 10K, Half-marathon, or Full marathon. The registration fee is ₩33,000 and the deadline for sign-ups is November 3, 2014.
