Hi everyone!
So I LOVE running but...I will be running my first ever marathon for RUN AGAINST TRAFFICK a.k.a the R.A.T Race! I will be running the 10k marathon with many others on November 15th @ Yeouido Park.
Korea has been a place I've called home for awhile now and I'm learning more about it everyday. God has placed on my heart the precious people of Korea, especially the beautiful young generation here. It has come to my attention that there are many orphans in Korea who are in need of support to make a living as adults. If they aren't helped, whether it be financially or emotionally, they often resort to detrimental life choices. It's one thing to be discriminated against because of your background but it's another when one's dignity and human value is being thrown out the window through human trafficking. We need to pray and support the fatherless...we need to show tangibly what God's love is to them. It's been too long since I've just observed from the sidelines, so I go and run! Join me in the movement to end human trafficking in Korea and to raise funds for Oak Tree Project.
All funds raised through R.A.T. (Run Against Traffick) Race will go to Oak Tree Project which financially supports and mentors orphans in South Korea. The plan is for our mass of brightly colored shirts to draw attention and start conversations about human trafficking and orphans and direct curious people to our forthcoming website: www.ratk.org. This public display will help raise the profile of Oak Tree Project and hopefully be an event that serves as a catalyst for churches and other groups to begin sponsoring scholarships.
Give and find out more at www.oaktreeproject.com.
Donate to help me raise 300,000 Korean won (almost $300) to support this great cause. Pray for me and for Korea! Thank you!
