When I first saw the video about the project, it seemed quite challenging! I thought to myself, "Seoul to Busan by bicycle? Man! That's crazy!" However, last year I started bike riding and have gained an appreciation for this sport. Also, earlier this year I attended a book club at Jubilee studying Justice relating to human trafficking and sex trafficking. Now I want to take action for Justice myself! Here is a big opportunity!

So, why am I taking part?
-Simply, I love riding a bicycle.
-To raise awareness of human trafficking and justice for the unheard voices in South Korea including myself and my friends
-To challenge myself to grow physically, mentally and spiritually.

Your donations will go to two great organizations that are actively working to combat this modern-day evil: Hope Be Restored, one of the leading anti-trafficking ministries in Korea, and Oak Tree Project, a scholarship and mentoring program for orphans in Korea. The ride costs are paid completely by the participants and sponsors, so 100% of the money we receive from your donation will go straight to these organizations.

안녕하세요? Ride Against Traffick 프로젝트는 인신매매가 일어나고 인권유린이 벌어지는 대한민국 땅에서 무뎌지고 있는 사람들의 의식을 일깨우고 더 나아가 기부를 통해 사람들의 직접적인 참여를 복돋우고자 진행이 되고 있습니다!
사실, 대한민국 땅에서 성매매가 성행하고 있다는 것을 한국사람이라면 누구나 알고 있을텐데요. 안타깝지만 이에 대해 많은 사람들이 그저 이 사회에 벌어지는 하나의 현상으로, 그저 남의 일이겠지 생각하며 살아가는 것 같습니다. 저 또한 그랬구요.
Jubilee 교회를 다니며 우연히 이 프로젝트에 대한 영상을 보게 되었고, 북클럽에 참여하게 되면서 '정의(Justice)'에 대해 관심을 가지게 되었습니다. 특별히 성매매와 인권유린에 대한 정의 실현에 관심을 가지게 되었고, 이번 기회에 이 프로젝트에 참여함으로 정의를 위해 작은 액션을 취해보고자 합니다.

쉽게말해, 이 프로젝트에 왜 참여하냐구요?
- 작년부터 타기 시작한 자전거 너무 재밌고 즐겁더라구요
- 인신매매와 성매매 등 인권유린에 대해 간과했던 우리 자신을 돌아보았으면 합니다
- 이를 통해 제 스스로 육체적으로, 정신적으로, 영적으로 성장할 수 있기를 바라고 있습니다

The Ride Against Traffick is a five day, 550km bike ride from Busan to Seoul intended to raise awareness of the problem of human trafficking in South Korea and to fight it. ** 제 4회 연례 Ride Against Traffick **

The Ride Against Traffick (거꾸로 국토 종단)은 부산에서 서울까지 5일만에 국토를 종단하는 자전거 여행으로 전국의 교회와 교단의 기독교인이 한 마음 한 뜻으로 한국의 인신매매를 위해 싸운다는 취지를 지니고 있습니다. 참가자들은 매일 평균 125km를 자전거로 주행하며, 저녁마다 찬양과 기도를 드립니다. 한국의 아름다움을 체험함과 동시에, 참가자들은 한국의 부활을 기원하며, 성경에서 가르치는 고아와 억압받는 자들을 위해 살라는 하나님의 말씀을 실천하는 삶을 살도록 기도합니다. 육체적으로는 고단하지만 영적으로는 새로이 일깨워지는 일생일대의 한 주간이 될 것입니다. 자전거 초보자부터 전문가까지, 열심히 훈련할 준비가 되어있다면 누구나 참가할 수 있습니다. 기간은 추석연휴(9월 25일-29일까지)이며 www.ratk.org 에서 참가 신청하실 수 있습니다.
