Brett's Ride Against Traffick
This fundraiser supports Ride Against Traffick 2014: Busan to Seoul
About This Fundraiser
Hey Friends and Family,
This upcoming September 8-10 I have the opportunity to partake in a bicycle ride from Busan, South Korea to Seoul, South Korea. This basically entails going from the southern part of Korea to the northern part, covering a total of around 600 km (372 miles). Since we are doing this in 3 days, we will cover around 200 km (124 miles) per day.
There are 3 main reasons that I am partaking in this adventure:
1. Raise awareness about the injustice of human trafficking, especially sex trafficking, as well as the plight of orphans (high risk targets of pimps/traffickers) in Korea.
2. Raise funds for House of Hope (Korea's only gospel-centered restoration center for trafficked victims) and Oak Tree Project (college scholarship and mentoring program for true orphans).
3. Enjoying God's great outdoors here in Korea and praying for the trafficking victims of Korea while riding on the saddle.
I know there are many injustices of this world that one can focus on. If you could circle, highlight, or remember the dates of September 8-10 and spend some time in prayer for the trafficking victims of Korea or the country you are in, that would be greatly appreciated. If you feel led to donate funds for this trip, that would also be appreciated. All funds go directly to the ministries highlighted in the second reason above.
You can give through Paypal, or a Korean Bank transfer. 1,000Won=1 USD
Please feel free to ask me questions about this trip or human trafficking in general. There is a lot of information and facts from reliable sources. Human trafficking is a massive injustice that effects most countries in this world.
